As I open my eyes, I look straight at the apple cake we baked yesterday, peeking through the window towards the patio. Good start! It will be a packed day, my Love will be helping friends with moving in the morning. I suggest to do the forest loop where we sometimes see wild campers. Off we go, the colours and flowers are once more amazingly beautiful. Reaching the road leaving back home, I suggest he runs ahead to be ready in time. Off he goes and I quickly fall way behind, watching him disappear on the horizon. Nevertheless, enjoying my pace till the church.

I think of the book I finished reading yesterday, ‘Do Inhabit’. It’s about making your place a home. The authors are encouraging to spend much time in nature, observe what you see, foreage while being out. Good thought. I keep my eyes open, start to collect some fern, little flowers and as I walk uphill to our home, I can’t beleave my eyes, I see a plant of snapdragons in the little forest. Beautiful coral-rose kind. I tried to find them in flowershops, as it is a sweet memory to our stay in Bar-sur-Loup a year ago. Was not able to, now I get a free gift from nature. Feeling blessed.
