#29

We visited les Baux-de-Provence. A touristy village, a refreshing lunch with légumes at anchoïade was much appreciated. Thereafter we visit les Carrières-des-lumières. It’s enjoyable to be surrounded by immense art installations and fitting music in the cool, I learn more about the life challenges of Frida Kahlo and Picasso.

Back at the pool, my best friend tries to push away some dark clouds in my mind that accompany me occasionally for quite some time. Efforts in vain. Am not able to process my thoughts, my emotions. Not able to share.

A walk in silence after dinner. Temperatures are still hot.

Last light of the day, we walk steadily and quietly in the village again towards the Windmills but taking another way. We reach the one we did not see yesterday. Nicknamed the “Fallen Mill”, it has no roof and no arms to support the sails anymore.

The mood is heavier, silent.

No matter how clumsy I might occasionnally be, I’ll keep focusing on the priceless present we have received. Twisting our roots together rhyme with purpose, trust. It requires patience, produces joy and wonder, costs now and then aches and pains.
