#7 😴
We both feel tired today. A slow start after our pizza festival and the bottle of red ‘Cap au Sud’. It turned out nicely, those pizzas — at least gradually improved after having to throw away the burnt first attempt.
It’s a long weekend, and it’s fine to just drift through the day. Early afternoon, we set off on an attempt at a loop through the big forest near our smoked bacon place.
Again, I need to pick up a few items in the shops, just as it starts to pour down. We’re heading back home, tucking away the groceries. After a break, the weather has calmed down a bit, so we set out for the usual loop, alternating between running and walking. The hyena dog is waiting for us, but just watches silently as we pass by.
As usual, when I cross paths with him, I change to the other side of the road, ducking behind my knight in shining armour and completely ignoring him.
Seems to be a kind of situationship. Fitting term of the week.
Grusig Wetter! I’m stunned that she needs no nudgeing or encouragements to keep stepping out of our place to go for some jogs. She indeed likes this project of ours, that makes me happy and grateful.
Despite this bad weather, we try to adapt and cope with our low levels of energy too. She has in mind to go back to a loop we haven’t done in a long time not far from home, close to a farm where we pick woods and other foody ingredients. I’m in! Once we’re there though, the sky opened generously and I don’t want to push too much. We decide to drive home and try again later.
It’s eventually our faithful loop that will make for it. She attempts to show me those reddish cherries, with no luck. My dreamy little gem… Next to this cherry-tree though, our neighbors have amazingly beautiful roses, and in abundance, what a wonderful sight.
No chance to go on a second loop, I’m simply out of power and hope that it will soon improve…
