#5 🦋
Time flies with me being busy organising things for our trip in the fall. It’s evening before we know it, and we decide to do our home run. We walk up the hill, and as we settle into my slower pace, I begin to notice more and more butterflies around us — a sight I’ve never seen before. Wonderful! I feel like I’m in a movie, playing Caleb and Sophia — just grown-ups this time!
This makes me look forward to our trip even more, as I’m hoping to see the monarch butterflies migrating.
The safari continues as we encounter a big male deer leaping off and making loud noises, while his mate flees in a different direction — out of sight before we know it. Another magical moment!
A little sorry to have disturbed them, but deeply grateful to have been allowed to witness such a sight.
Difficult to move today, we are both tired. Anyhow still motivated and not questioning the idea of a daily jog. Today it looks more like a walk. Amazed by all those butterflies that surround us, it seems like they keep sprouting out of the ground! Kind of magic, we feel excited.
That’s not the only gift of the day, further up on our faithful loop, we must have disturbed a couple of deers. At hearing us, they shoot like rockets in opposite directions. One groans at every jumps he makes, is he unhappy to have us stop there love affair? We mean nothing bad buddy, you could have stayed.
No mood to go for a second round today, I feel tired from the day. As usual though, it’s refreshing to spend quality time with my second half. Brainstorming and processing the details of our coming trip later this year brings us joy and excitment.
