#27 🦚

Another hot day comes to an end. The parmigiana is ready to eat, cooling off in the oven. Proudly prepared with a local aubergine, delivered by our new veggie delivery service.

Meanwhile, we drive to the nearby camping site and do a loop along the river. The first encounter is a peacock, presenting his beautiful attire to the girl in front of him. Wiggling his tail feathers, he makes the show even more impressive, accompanied by sound. Those colours! The size of his feathers! Unlike the female peacock, I am very impressed! What a wonderful creation!

Grateful for this moment, we continue on our way. I need to alternate in short intervals but am doing quite fine despite the heat.

After this lovely jog and a cool shower, parmigiana, guanicale, our Chasselas from Vully, and charentais melon to round it off are waiting!

Little gem is bubbly today and I love it. For my part, I’m mou as in Mouky.

After a couple of strides, we stop. We enjoy the view of all those different animals. I silently wonder if we’ll see the peacock… She sees it first and both us laugh at how long it took me to realise it was just in front of my eyes. That’s part of the Mouky. He has his weel all open and is after his girlfriend. She politely ignores him, is it part of the dance? Anyways, Monsieur starts to shake his impressive tail, sadly for him to little effect today. But we could enjoy the play.

The colors are soothing at this end-of-the-day-hours, the green of the trees, the golden of the setting sun, the sound of the river and the laughs of the kids playing, it’s Friday. The families are gathering along the Sense, it’s a lovely jog. That makes me happy to see her ponytail bouncing.
