It’s officially a tradition! Indeed, a déjà vu - we park at the same spot, take the same loop along the Aare, and pass by the same strange music festival. Except, I think it’s a warmer summer night. And this time, we pass a sweet Scottish Highland cow with its newborn.
All this is rewarded with the promised fish ’n’ chips. It’s an interesting crowd to watch - very much country life, farmers mostly. I feel foreign and at home at the same time.
Happy and with a full belly, I enjoy the countryside drive home, where we pass our cherished summer spot by the lake.
A new tradition in the making? For the second year in a row, we come do this loop, a kind of hippie festival is taking place but we’re here to join the local fishing club in their eating fest. Fish & Chips here we are! They got an upgrade this year, a true, local, DJ.
First the loop itself, we get to meet a cuty (scottish?) calf and its mummy. Then we enjoy the same portion of the Aare for the 2nd time, a very peaceful one.
My little gem is back, more bubbly, enjoying food again, I’m reassured and happy.
