#11 Relief!
Made sure to get enough rest last night. Waking up, I am unsure what the day brings. The lovely smell of coffee is waking me up, along with a warm cheeky smile from my Beloved. I want to do the small loop. Testing. We adapt even more. One minute tiny steps, one minute walking. I manage. Relief! I am happy to be out. It’s crispy and the skies are dark. Norvegian summer. That is how this month presents itself. In my mind I wander back to what I studied last night, how people managed to cover long distances in the first century. The journeys were laid out in a way that they would cover thirty kilometers on foot a day. Am far from this, but my coach says, we’ll do it. One day.
Getting worried about her knee, impressed by her willingness to keep going. I hope this is reasonable. We shorten the shifts and enjoy the crispy morning. A longer night felt good, I could have a few more like this. This year is exciting but I won’t be able to keep such a load forever.
