#1 The Beginning

The day has come! She’s dressed up, I’m all excited to start this Juneathon with her.

Our goal today: our faithful loop will do it. Surrounded by coquelicots, growing crops and a cloudy sky, we alternate walks and slow jogs sections smiling all along. That’s the importunity to brainstorm as well, what this month should be like, will her knee hold or not? Is it going to be a joy every day or rather at the end, a relief to see it done? We’ll see. Anyway, this first session has been a success, we both loved it and I’m so much looking forward to run through June with my best friend.

What has started as an idea, popping up sipping coffee in one of our favourite coffee shops in town one early winter morning, finally becomes real. Joining my husband, who is a passionate runner, became doable thanks to a more softer training routine called “slow jogging”. A workshop two weeks ago at lake constance with a professional runner, helped me to prepare myself, taking away helpful tipps regarding body posture and how to minimize any risks for my knee. Now, out for first loop and seeing the beaming face of my husband, all happy about this project, is priceless. Looking so much forward to how we master the next 30 days - as a team!
